About the Lab

The Culture Tech Lab is a place where we create and innovate the future of culture events, focusing on the three phases of an event - pre-, during and post-event.
We meet on the stage of Felsenreitschule, a stage where famous artists and directors created unforgettable moments and important political moments like the EU Summit in 2018 took place.

The Culture Tech Lab is hosted by the Salzburg Festival, Karajan Music Tech, Silicon Castles and Startup Salzburg.

48 Hours Design Thinking
Join the collective creative flow with like-minded people from all around the world to collaboratively flesh out innovative ideas. Cultural content could be any kind of music, video, visual arts, VR, AR, mixed reality, fine arts, architecture, multi-sensory experiences.


Top Tier Jury
The business ideas and concepts will be presented to internationally acclaimed experts from the fields of technology, culture and investment.


Prizes
They will have the opportunity to partner with the Salzburg Festival and the Karajan Institute.
Participation in Silicon Castles' Global Acceleration Program with further support to start a company in Salzburg.
The winning teams will be supported by the business incubator Startup Salzburg and get direct access to the cultural and startup ecosystem in Salzburg.
